CALGARY, AB -- Canada will take on Finland in an exhibition game on Wednesday and two Calgary Flames prospects will be in the lineup.
Mark Masters of TSN has reported both Emile Poirier and Mark Jankowski will suit up against the Finns while their fellow Flames prospect Sean Monahan will sit on Wednesday. Canada will have 13 scratches for the game.
Wednesday's tilt is the first chance for head coach Brent Sutter and his staff to see their charges in game action.
"It's different from going through an evaluation, with red-white games," Sutter told the Canadian Press. "Now you're playing Sweden, Finland and the Americans and they're bringing their best. We'll get a better sense of where we're at. And, as a coaching staff, it's new for us too."
